AADA is a Pan-African body to promote the training and development of actuarial talent across Africa. 

AADA aims to develop qualified and experienced actuaries within Africa to meet the growing needs and demands of the financial industry within Africa, particularly the insurance industry. AADA is being created by actuaries within the continent, for actuaries within the continent.

These actuaries have been exposed to developed economies and experienced firsthand what having a strong experienced pool of actuaries can do for the economy. These actuaries have also worked on the continent and know what sort of gaps exist in the field, where the most improvement is needed, and what can be realistically achieved given the skills on the ground.
